SERBIAN INTERSTATE CHALLENGE
SWAN HILL - April, 2007
The Interstate Challenge this year was held on the banks of the Murray river at the
Murray Downs Golf and Country Club, just outside Swan Hill.
As usual the weather in Swan Hill provided for great golfing conditions and some outstanding
play.
A total of 46 players competed this year which was an increase again on last years attendance. This
event is now being competed for on a yearly basis that provides for Serbs from all around Australia to attend.
This year Adelaide, Sydney, Albury, Melbourne and Geelong attended to make it the resounding
success it was.
This also allowed the chance for old friends to catch up and new ones to be established, not
only during the golf but in the post competition festivities.
South Australia again won the Challenge, closely followed by Victoria, for the second
year running.
All should be congratulated on the weekend for attending and providing for a fantastic social
occasion.
Special mention goes to the organisers of the event who did a magnificent job in getting everything
running smoothly. Job well done guys!!
